Biosample Assistant and Biosample Coordinator

-Performs sample accessioning in CDx CAP/CLIA Laboratory.
-Follows standard procedures in performing the tasks, knowledgeable with CAP, CLIA and other accrediting and regulatory agency requirements in laboratory practice and utilizes good documentation practices and following laboratory safety policies.
-Leads one or more process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.
Responsibilities
* Receives and opens sample shipments and performs triaging of samples to respective testing locations.
* Performs accessioning of samples and quality control of demographic data input. Communicates with clients on held and rejected samples.
* Performs labeling of samples and quality control check of labeling.
* Performs imaging of stained slides returned from Pathology, ensuring all deliverables are met within the required timeline.
* Coordinates the execution of all internal and client requests, including global shipments of sample while maintaining accurate chain of custody.
* Manages team email by ensuring all requests have been completed.
* Leads and ensures deliverables are met for one or more process improvement workstreams within the BioSample Management Group as assigned.
Biosample Assistant - high school diploma (entry level)
Biosample Coordinator - required high school diploma with 4 years of experience or BA degree
These roles will be working Monday - Friday from either 6am - 2:30pm or 9am - 5:30pm.
