Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner/Scrum Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing data science and engineering projects, particularly those operated in Google Cloud. This role involves working with various Department of Defense (DoD) clients, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders, architecture, and development teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment on product vision, goals, and requirements.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver high-quality, valuable data science and engineering solutions that meet user needs and achieve business objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations and security requirements.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Deeply understand the user/customer by gathering feedback and creating user personas to guide development.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the products success and identify areas for improvement (e.g., user engagement, feature usage, or other relevant metrics tied to business objectives).
- Champion data-driven decision-making to inform product decisions, prioritize features, and measure the impact of changes.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with security and compliance teams throughout the development lifecycle to proactively address security and compliance requirements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master, with at least 2 years focused on data science or engineering projects
- Strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools.
- Experience working with DoD clients and understanding of DoD regulations & compliance frameworks, such as DFARS, NIST 800-171/53, or CMMC
- Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrated leadership skills in driving product vision and motivating development teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance required.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
