Position:Cloud Architect

Location:Hybrid; Fairfax, VA
Project Description:We are seeking a dynamic Cloud Architect who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is enthusiastic about continuous learning and cyber security. The role involves managing enterprise architecture efforts, including system design, prototyping, and future state solutioning within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The ideal candidate will work closely with technical leaders and solution engineers to ensure best practices in modernizing and delivering solutions. They must be adept at reviewing stakeholder requests, evaluating technologies, and providing design guidance, with significant hands-on experience in developing proofs of concept and production solutions.
Required Skills
- US citizenship with the ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years managing, designing, building, and implementing enterprise technology solutions
- 8+ years supporting Private, Commercial, and/or Hybrid Cloud deployments
- 5+ years AWS cloud experience (GovCloud preferred), deploying compute, storage, and other native service offerings
- 5+ years producing architecture and designs that implement scalability, performance, and cost-effective solutions
- 5+ years incorporating security best practices for system integration and design, such as NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- 5+ years delivering technical solutions for government customers on programs of at least $50M in total contract value
- 4+ years translating requirements into high level system designs
- 4+ years designing and implementing data management technologies
- 4+ years integrating systems, services, and/or components through standard or custom APIs
- 4+ years producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (FISMA, FIPS, SecOps, etc.)
- Experience with DevSecOps
- Experience with Elastic Cloud Enterprise and other Elastic products
- Experience in assessment, evaluation, and documentation of client environment, infrastructure, process, operations
- Experience in data modeling, visualization, metric dashboards, and other reporting systems
- Understanding of DHS CDM Program and understanding of cybersecurity requirements and mandates
- Understanding of programming languages such as Python or Java, including limitations they may have on system implementations as well as software development best practices for system consideration
