Commercial / OTR Tire Tech General Description:

Perform alignment and Tire service for commercial vehicles and large equipment, inside shop and outside roadside and customer yard work.

Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Duties Include:

* Inspect vehicles using commercial TIA standards and Advise customer and or management of necessary repairs.

* Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment

* Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls.

* Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.

* Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks.

* Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook.

* Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.

* Perform general housekeeping duties.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Physical Demands / Work Environment:

* Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.

* Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.

* Repetitive motion.

* Sustained vibrations.

* Standing for extended periods of time.

* Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.

* Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

* Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).

* Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).

* PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
