Full Job Description
Night-Weekend Editor
The award-winning Omaha World-Herald is seeking a motivated and exacting editor to ensure high-quality content standards are met through the evening and on weekends. This position will have a primary focus on executing the paper's digital strategy, making sure news is posted quickly, though some print copy editing responsibilities are also included.
The ideal candidate has experience editing articles for online and print, as well as writing compelling headlines, handling breaking news and working with a wide variety of reporters from features to sports.
The person who fills this 40-hour-a-week, Omaha-based position would pick up late- arriving weekday news as well as weekend copy, work with reporters to cover breaking news, and participate in the smooth running of the newsroom.
