Job Description:
Job Overview:As a DAS Systems Analyst, you will act as the key stakeholder working with a 3rd party vendor in designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed antenna systems (DAS) to enhance wireless communication coverage and capacity within various environments such as buildings, stadiums, airports, and public spaces. You will work closely with clients, project managers, and other engineering teams to ensure the successful deployment and optimization of DAS solutions.
This resource needs to be able to interpret iBwave files, have carrier engagement experience, and know how to use testers. Large scale system design isn't required, but you will need experience with them.
Additional Responsibilities:
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed documentation, including system designs, installation plans, as-built drawings, and technical reports.
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, configurations, and system changes.
Provide regular progress updates and reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and recommendations.
Compliance and Industry Knowledge:
Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations related to DAS engineering and wireless communication.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and relevant wireless communication standards.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies or third-party organizations to obtain necessary permits or certifications for DAS installations.
Required:
- 4-6 years of DAS engineering design experience as a technical administrator or architect with direct responsibilities for DAS infrastructure management.
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience as DAS SME experience this needs to include indoor and outdoor systems. High-capacity venue design experience.
- Relevant certifications such as iBwave, DAS-related vendor certifications, or other industry-specific qualifications that demonstrate expertise in DAS engineering.
- Demonstrated understanding of the State of California or Federal government techniques for planning and implementing emergency services.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of faculty, staff, students, and representatives of regulatory agencies and the ability to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with business partners in remote locations.
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, database, and spreadsheet management. Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Writer and Reader, and web-based business practices.
