Job Title:Java Developer

Job Type:Contract to Hire
Pay Rate Range:$30-$46 hourly

Key Role:Serve as a Java Developer supporting the Automated Time and Attendance System (ATAAPS). Responsibilities include applying principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and systems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure software standards are met and analyze user needs to resolve issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
- Determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition.
- Ensure software standards are met and analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management systems.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
- 2-4 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with Java, HTML, and Spring/Struts frameworks.
- Basic knowledge of the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SQL, VisualBasic, and other development software.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed.
- Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
