Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Manager, Strategic Planning to join the Sector Strategic Planning organization, reporting to the Director of Strategic Planning. The selected applicant will become a trusted member of a team responsible for leading Sector-level strategy and associated efforts including:
• NGSP Strategy: Developing and continuously refining the Sector's integrated strategy, priorities, and objectives. Communicating NGSP strategy to multiple stakeholders including Corporate, Sector, and Division executive leadership through presentations and briefings.
• Strategic Assessments: Conducting strategic assessments of financial plans, markets, budgets, pipelines, etc. to support the development and refinement of the Sector's Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP).
• Competitor Analysis: Leading assessments of competitor earnings, priorities, and providing insights to shape competitive strategy.
• Business Case Assessments: Partnering with NGSP Division and Business Unit teams to develop and recommend specific market segment or product strategies leveraging robust supporting data analyses.
• Strategy frameworks, processes, and tools: Developing and deploying strategy and Sector objectives across the organization using frameworks, processes, and tools.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience
• Previous experience in strategic assessment, strategy development, and/or financial analysis
• Proven experience creating executive-level briefing and presentation content
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Familiarity with space industry trends, dynamics, and characteristics
• Current Top Secret clearance and/or current SSBI at time of application
• U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, portfolio development, and/or strategic assessment
• Experience in strategic planning at an aerospace and defense industry enterprise
• Excellent oral/written communication, presentation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Advanced MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Northrop Grumman internal long-range strategic development experience
• Current active TS/SCI
Salary Range: $142,200 - $213,400
Salary Range 2: $118,000 - $177,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
