What does this role look like?



Lockheed Martin's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking an Operations & Production Manager for our Maintenance Support Building at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC), Naval Base Kitsap -Submarine Base Bangor, Washington.




In this dynamic role you will:



Manage hourly represented employees performing support equipment scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, weight test of lifting equipment, fabrication, welding and machine shop operations at the Maintenance Support Building (MSB) in support of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program. Position is located at the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific (SWFPAC) on Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) - Bangor in Silverdale, WA. You will supervise and provide technical direction to maintenance support personnel.

Additionally, you will:

* Maintain and furnish management systems to achieve effective operations required by special ordnance publication and other DOD/Navy requirements.
* Oversee safety,
* Lead and build effective teams
* Develop and maintain customer interfaces
* Communicate regularly with internal LM customers, associate contractors, and US Navy customer representatives.


Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Silverdale, WA,and will be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
* Five+ years of supervisory experience
* Experience supervising and leading represented hourly workforce personnel
* Experience effectively interfacing with direct customers (internal and external), demonstrating sound situational reasoning and judgment
* Previous professional experience with scheduling, production, and/or processing requirements
* Experience and training in leadership and mentoring skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Must be a US Citizen, (no dual citizens), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

* Direct government customer interface experience that demonstrates the ability to collaborate and solve complex issues
* Experience related to support equipment maintenance: performing support equipment scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, weight test of lifting equipment, fabrication, welding, and machine shop operations to meet strict processing and production requirements
* Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
* Proven experience as a leader building and leading highly effective teams to meet or exceed quality, cost, schedule, and technical objectives while ensuring corporate compliances are enforced
* Experience and knowledge conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and/or Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and events that implement corrective action effectively
* Ability to critically assess organizational performance, develop metrics, and take corrective action as necessary to make lasting improvement within the organization
* Demonstrated effective problem and conflict resolution skills
* Currently holds a United States security clearance
* Experience with Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $86,700 - $166,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
