Job Description:
Packaging EngineerResponsibilities:
- Reinforce packaging and supplier compliance activities to successfully deliver part introductions into the factory.
- Generate packaging instructions and ensure supplier compliance adherence for upwards of 4,000 new part numbers.
- Create process flow maps for packaging definition.
- Develop a list of part numbers per class (A, B, C) with relevant data (forecast, supplier information, etc.).
- Establish and document packaging guidelines/rules and provide training for explanations.
- Maintain the Packaging database.
- Develop SOPs for PackIT utilization.
- Manage the suppliers contact database.
- Document request summaries, including tasks required and engineering to be performed.
- Define new packaging instructions and document them in PACKIT.
- Obtain supplier approval for new packaging implementations.
- Ensure supplier compliance with packaging and label/ASN standards.
- Manage resources to stay within the quoted delivery time and cost.
- Degree in Packaging Engineering preferred.
- Strong communication, planning, organization, and visualization/presentation skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and principles.
- Ability to communicate adherence to packaging instructions, label, and advance shipping notice (ASN) standards.
- Advanced understanding of basic computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Power BI).
