The Armament Systems Business Unit is seeking a Principal Quality Analyst who will support the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), including support of all internal and external compliance audits and appraisals, and training requirements. Qualified candidates must work as part of a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan ahead and be customer- support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
• Managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) across multiple locations
• Managing internal audit process, schedule, and execution
• Performing compliance audits to meet internal and external certification requirements (AS9100)
• Supporting compliance activities in line with regulatory authorities and Quality Standards groups (AS9100, DFARs, Customer)
• Ensuring process control documentation is compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract
• Supporting corrective action boards (CAB) and implementing preventive and corrective actions
• Implementing continuous improvements to quality and mission assurance process areas
• Interface and provide support to various other organizations to address process issues/concerns and to ensure requirements are achieved
• Ability to collect, update and analyze metrics
• Supporting training management, developing training content and facilitating training plan development
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in Quality, Mission Assurance or related field;
Master's degree plus 3 years of experience;
Or PhD plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required
• Experience working with and applying AS9100D, including interpreting and performing internal audits for AS9100D
• Experience managing Quality Management Systems, process management, training, and continuous improvement
• Ability to work well with a team and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication and formal presentation skills
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office) and ability to learn new computer programs easily
Preferred Qualifications:
• AS9100D Lead Auditor certification
• Experience participating in cross-site and cross-functional projects
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), specifically Global Learning Exchange (GLX)
• Functional knowledge of SharePoint, TipQA, Costpoint, MES
Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
