Job Overview
The Production Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, repairing, replacing, and maintaining the electrical wiring and circuits on assets in the production facility by responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and repairing the machinery’s electrical components in a timely manner. The Production Electrician also serves as the on-site subject matter expert for electrical matters, performs planned and unscheduled work, and provides advice and training to new personnel, including Mechanic I level, and Mechanic II level employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Repair, replace, and maintain electrical wiring and circuits on assets in the production facility in a timely manner
- Troubleshoots equipment for electrical issues to prevent malfunctions and, or identify opportunities for improvements
- Programs electrical and electronic equipment and handles the installation, maintenance, and repairs for electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems
- Participates in the installation of new or modified assets and ensures optimal functionality of electrical components
- Maintains electrical drawings (paper or electronic)
- May perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Adequate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Electrical experience in manufacturing equipment repair or parts is preferred
- Attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
- Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical
- Electrical Certification or previous 1-3 years experience
