Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking to add multiple Production Technician II's to our esteemed biotechnology client located in Milford, MA. We are looking to screen and submit qualified candidates as early as this week.Location: Milford, MA
Schedule: M-F normal business hours
Compensation: $23-27/hr

Summary:
The Production Technician II is responsible for production operations within our client company. This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment while maintaining high standards for the final product. The position also involves the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the production area, including chemicals, materials, and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general housekeeping in compliance with required standards.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of GMP requirements.
- Ensure the care and safety necessary to properly safeguard facilities, equipment, products, and co-workers.
- Adhere to MFG protocols and batch records related to filtration and assist peers as needed.
- Assemble, clean, and operate production equipment (e.g., filters, pumps, pipettes, BSC, benchtop surfaces).
- Perform real-time documentation during production runs and maintain accurate records/logs.
- Review documentation prior to the completion of records.
- Complete daily/weekly tasks in a timely manner (e.g., track and stock consumable items, ensure proper storage of raw materials and buffers, deliver QC samples, execute proper disposal methods).
- Maintain up-to-date training records.
- Independently perform finished goods filtration and packing activities.
- Demonstrate understanding of company beliefs, values, and behaviors.
- Train new technicians in finished goods filtration and packing activities.
- Understand buffer compositions (e.g., molecular weights, concentrations, and dilutions).
- Execute calibration, daily maintenance, and operations of production equipment (e.g., pH and conductivity meters, Osmometer, SUMs, fume hood).
- Prepare buffer solutions and properly store process intermediates. Independently manufacture in-stock buffers.
- Perform pH and buffer adjustments as needed.
- Perform calculations for processing.
- Weigh powders, chemicals, and reagents, and perform all necessary calculations, preparations, and reagent additions.
- Recognize and report mechanical, chemical, and safety hazards to the appropriate individuals.
- Work in multiple roles associated with the manufacturing of solutions.
- Develop a better understanding of how to support new processes and initiatives.

Education:
- HS Diploma/Associate's Degree OR 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of applicable experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and change priorities while maintaining productivity.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with solutions and reagents.
- Understanding of chemistry concepts such as molarity, concentration, and mass.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and other applicable regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 pounds.
