We are looking for a Social Media Project Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality social media projects on time and within budget. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and external agency partners to execute a broad range of social media initiatives, including content production, paid media, audience engagement, social intelligence and reporting, influencer management, and more.
Your responsibilities will include managing creative briefs, allocating resources, negotiating timelines, and serving as a primary social media point of contact for internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Intake Social Media Request Forms (SMRFs) and assess project requirements.
Assist in assigning projects to appropriate social media teams based on skill sets and availability.
- Manage resource allocation to ensure projects are adequately staffed and deadlines are met.
- Assist in the management of SaaS vendor relationships, including but not limited to Resolver, Sprinklr, CreatorIQ, and BrandWatch.
- Maintain task lists, track due dates, and monitor project statuses to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in identifying and reaching out to vendors for select projects.
- Keep operations and social media leaders informed of team bandwidth and potential capacity issues.
- Communicate with agencies, SaaS vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate briefing, specification delivery, technology, and project updates.
- Act as the main point of contact for a dedicated set of clients, including leading status calls, building strong client relationships, maintaining timelines, and escalating issues or risks as needed.
Required:
- 3-5+ years of proven project management and/or account management experience in an agency or in-house setting.
- Proficiency in using project management tools, preferably Workfront.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with both on-site and remote work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Self-starter with a strong desire to learn processes quickly and optimize them as needed.
- Flexibility and adaptability to take on various tasks and support the team's needs.
- Understanding of the general timelines and processes involved in social media and creative content production.
- Experience in content production, surprise & delight logistics, influencer management, or vendor management is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Expert-level knowledge of project management tools and process.
- Experience managing complex logistical projects, including those involving various types of creative work such as photography, videography, graphic design, copywriting, influencer, and creator logistics.
This is a 40 hour a week, hybrid, freelance opportunity.
