Description:

You will be the Tooling Fabrication Inspector/CMM Operator for Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area. Our team is responsible for utilizing the latest manufacturing capabilities to produce advanced weapon and sensor technology.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Tooling Fabrication Inspector/CMM Operator, you will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on machined parts, electro-mechanical systems, and various coatings to ensure they meet company and customer requirements. You will also operate Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) to inspect mechanical assemblies for structural flaws and critical dimensions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, but are not limited to:

-Performing in-process, courtesy, quality witness, and final inspections on machined parts, electro-mechanical systems, and various coatings
-Utilizing CMMs to inspect mechanical assemblies for structural flaws and critical dimensions
-Inspecting mechanical assemblies for functionality in accordance with prescribed company and customer requirements and specifications
-Working with computer software to read and understand work instructions, capture inspection planning, and acceptance
-Utilizing precision inspection instruments and gages to perform inspections per drawing criteria
-Working overtime, including weekends, depending on Business Unit needs
-Adapting to different shifts (1st shift, 2nd shift, 3x12 shift Fri-Sun) based on seniority prioritization in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
-Prior Mechanical Quality inspection experience

-CMM experience

-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

-Engineering/blueprint drawing reading/interpretation.

-Experience utilizing precision measurement tools

-Ability to work with minimal supervision.

-Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
-SAP experience.

-Tool inspection/Calibration/ Metrology experience.

-Ability to perform manual measurements.

-Experience with aerospace hardware.

-Familiar with military specifications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
