Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking a dynamic and experienced Global Project Manager for a fully remote contract opportunity with a large, international pharmaceutical and medical diagnostics company. The Global Project Manager will lead and oversee a range of projects in the Personalized Healthcare sector. This role involves managing projects of varying complexity, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering collaboration across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within regulated environments, particularly in medical diagnostics or pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:Lead all aspects of project management from initiation to delivery, including timeline assembly, resource allocation, and schedule development.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Interface with all areas affected by or supporting the project, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Risk and Quality Management:Implement project risk management strategies, conduct critical path analysis, and ensure quality outcomes across all projects.
- Integrated Planning:Create and maintain integrated project plans using Project & Portfolio Management tools, identifying gaps and proposing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Budget Oversight:Monitor project budgets and spending, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Meeting Coordination:Organize and manage project milestone reviews and meetings, including agenda setting and minute-taking.
- Continuous Improvement:Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and best practices within project teams.
- Additional Duties:Perform other related tasks as assigned to support project objectives.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum Master, or SAFe) preferred.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of project management experience in product development or relevant fields.
- Experience in FDA-regulated environments and Companion Diagnostics (CDx) programs is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in co-development environments with third-party partners or external customers.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and coordination skills for project-related activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced stakeholder management and facilitation skills, particularly in complex team settings.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Planisware, or Smartsheet.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to manage ambitious project milestones and escalate issues effectively.
